Position Summary

The Facility Performance Group Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building inspections, preventative maintenance, scheduled service, and emergency repairs across assigned facilities. This role ensures that client buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained while upholding Conco’s commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and service. The Facility Performance Group Maintenance Technician represents Conco professionally when interacting with clients and reflects the Conconian Values in all work performed.

 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

·         Performs routine inspections and maintenance of assigned facilities to identify and address repair needs

·         Troubleshoots and completes general building repairs, including carpentry, mechanical, and facility-related issues

·         Diagnoses and repairs plumbing systems including leaks, piping, fixtures, and minor replacements

·         Assists with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and related components

·         Performs repairs on various roofing systems, including leak identification and corrective maintenance

·         Installs and repairs millwork, doors, door hardware, and related building components

·         Installs and repairs commercial trim and finishes including casing, base, FRP, wall panels, and soffits

·         Responds to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely and professional manner

·         Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition

·         Documents service work performed and communicates repair needs or follow-up items to supervisors

 

Education & Experience

·         Ability to independently troubleshoot general building repair issues

·         Ability to troubleshoot leaks and repair various roofing systems

·         Ability to install millwork, doors, and hardware of all types

·         Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues including leaks, replacement, and piping 

·         Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC problems including but not limited to installation, and maintenance and repair

·         Install general commercial trim and finishes including: casing, base, FRP, wall panels, soffits

·         HVAC Certified preferred but not required

·         Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for communication, work orders, and documentation

·         Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements

·         Must be able to lift 20-50 pounds or greater occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently

·         Must be able to continually stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust to focus. 

 

Working Conditions

·         Work is primarily performed both indoors and outdoors on construction projects and is exposed to the weather conditions that are prevalent at the time.  The noise level in the work environment is intermediate.  The work may be performed at a surface environment, at extreme heights, or underground.  They may be expected to do a consideration amount of lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, balancing, and even crawling.
